About Us
At the moment we number around twenty five to thirty in our morning congregation. Our services are focused around worshiping God through his Word
the Bible. We sing traditional hymns and the best of the modern ones. One service each Sunday is devoted to preaching the Gospel and as a church we are committed to taking it out into our community. We preach the need of a personal conversion through faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ as the sole means of salvation. We also hold that the Bible is God’s Word and as originally given was free from error and is our final authority in all matters. We baptize by immersion and hold our independence dear but seek union with other gospel honouring churches and are therefore happy to be in the Associating Evangelical Churches of Wales. You are most warmly welcome to attend our services whoever you are and we pray that through the presence of the Holy Spirit you may be truly blessed.

Our Mission
Our mission is based upon the teaching of the New Testament found in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). There the Lord Jesus Christ
gave his disciples and his entire Church throughout the ages, clear instructions to take the Gospel out into the world and seek the salvation of the
lost. We also take seriously the role of nurturing young saints and building up one another in Christ.

What is an Evangelical?
The word Evangelical is derived from the Greek word, "euangelion", meaning "good news" or gospel,”
This "good news" or "gospel," is made known to us through the Bible. As Evangelicals we hold that the Bible is God's word and is completely trustworthy and true. We seek to base all we teach and do upon it.
As evangelical Christians we believe in making the "good news" or " gospel," known to others. This follows the example of Jesus and the Apostles in the New Testament as well as the early Christians. So an Evangelical is one who makes known to those who do not know the "good news" or "gospel," of
the Lord Jesus Christ as found in the Bible.

What does the word Gospel mean?
The word Gospel simply means Good News as seen above.
The Oxford Dictionary explains it's English origin “Old English gōdspel, from gōd ‘good’ + spel ‘news, a story’ (see spell), translatingecclesiastical Latin bona annuntiatio or bonus nuntius, used to gloss ecclesiastical Latin evangelium, from Greek euangelion 'good news' (see evangel); after the vowel was shortened in Old English, the first syllable was mistaken for god ‘God’”.

What we believe - bases of Faith
Each member of the church believes the following

2. The Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments to be the Word of God wholly and completely, and recognize their authority and sufficiency,
and the need of the teaching of the Holy Spirit to a true and spiritual understanding of the whole.
(2 Tim 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:10-12; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 4: 26)
